Offshore Plant and Marine Energy Research Division focuses on developing core technologies for offshore structures and plant engineering, as well as for marine energy and its combined use. Relevant research areas include offshore plant operation services such as transportation and installation of offshore structures, technology to design and evaluate the performance of offshore structures to utilize ocean space for multiple purposes, as well as technology to analyze and enhance the performance of assessment and conversion systems for marine energy such as wave power, offshore wind power, vortex induced vibration(VIV) and ocean thermal.
