KRISO receives Excellence in Fair Hiring Practices Certification for 2021

□ Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean engineering (President Booki, Kim, hereinafter KRISO) announced on the 28th that it received a certification of excellence in fair hiring practices Certification from the Korea Management Registrar, Inc. (KMR).

□ The certification of excellence in fair hiring is awarded according to KMR’s fair hiring certification system. KMR reviews the hiring systems, hiring processes and hiring outcomes of public institutions to ensure that hiring decisions are based on job performance abilities, without being influenced by factors that may lead to discrimination.

□ KRISO received high scores in 59 sub-categories under 9 major categories in 3 areas △hiring system (regulations, system management), △ hiring processes (job notice, document screening, written exam, interview, candidate selection), and △ hiring outcome (satisfaction, retainment rate) for the hiring of regular employees last year to be selected as an institution with excellent fair hiring practices.

□ In particular, its efforts to reflect fair hiring guidelines in its regulations and hiring practices were recognized as examplary, with measures such as development of interview evaluation guidelines, open disclosure of written test scores, and AI-powered job capacity testing to increase fairness and transparency.
