dc.description.abstract | This study presented design samples for 2.2 & 3.3 MW floating solar platform and compared their floating body motions, connector beam stresses and mooring line tensions in regular & irregular waves by hydro-dynamic analysis. Combined responses by wave, wind, marine growth, human load and snow were compared to check design safety and fatigue life was also investigated. HOBEM and FEM were applied to wave load analysis and structural analysis, respectively, in the numerical analysis. Responses of two samples in waves were generally similar except surge, sway, heave and mooring tension around natural periods. Responses of both samples in combined load cases were less than allowable responses. Their fatigue lives were larger than the design life. So, both samples satisfy safety and fatigue criteria. | - |
