| dc.description.abstract | As the utilization of renewable energy continues to expand worldwide, the demand for technologies related to the design and evaluation of marine renewable energy systems has been increasing. In particular, establishing a virtual design framework that reflects the characteristics of domestic marine environments can greatly enhance design efficiency and support pre-demonstration assessments. In this study, a methodology was developed to estimate the size of the substructure and the power production of an offshore wind power generation system. For the estimation of the substructure size, a semi-submersible platform composed of rectangular pontoons and columns was assumed, and the pontoon length was selected as the main design parameter. The pontoon length was then determined to ensure static stability based on the center of gravity positions of the wind turbine and the substructure. In addition, the Annual Energy Production (AEP) was estimated by adjusting the given wind speed time-series data according to height and applying the corresponding power curve for each wind speed. Future work will focus on improving the developed estimation method by considering the dynamic characteristics of the structure and exploring ways to reduce the computational time required for analysis. | - |
