Abstract

This paper concerns the procedures and factors used for economics feasibility estimation after site selection for marine renewable energy power plants. For offshore wind turbine systems, economic evaluation is readily possible due to the abundance of existing operational data. However, for wave power generation systems, which are still in the demonstration phase and have little existing operational data, economic is challenging. Therefore, we developed a method for estimating economic feasibility based on the CDE technologies utilized in the design phase and information derived from empirical studies.
