dc.description.abstract | The numerical captive test of high speed planning boat was performed to estimate the hydrodynamic performance using SNUFoam based on openFoam. Even though it is important to estimate running attitudes of high speed planning boat, a prediction of running attitudes is very difficult using CFD. Because it has large variation of running attitude during planning and it is hard to capture free-surface that has effects on the calculation of pressure on hull. A running attitudes of the planning boat in CFD are fixed as the running attitudes obtained by EFD to check accuracy of resistance between EFD and CFD. And the resistance on hull was divided into pressure and friction using the method of ITTC 1957. The bottom pressure distribution and wave pattern were analyzed and compared with EFD results | - |
