dc.description.abstractThis paper presents bubble wake measurement results by the planing hull. ABS (Acoustic Bubble Spectrometer) was adopted to measure the bubble wake and tests were performed at CWC (Circulating Water Channel). For the tests, SNAME TMB model (No. 4876) with hard chine was adopted. The length of manufactured model is a 1m and uniform velocity at CWC is 3m/s to generate the bubbles, relatively higher speed than conventional hull form. Measurements were performed successfully and measured results shows well the general characteristics of bubble wake generated by planing hull. Furthermore, empirical formulation is proposed for the practical use.-
