| dc.description.abstract | The demand for maritime decarbonization is growing stronger. Accordingly, while the utilization of various alternative fuels for ships is being studied, the Small Modular Reactor(SMR) is also being suggested as a potential propulsion power source. It has many advantages, such as not emitting greenhouse gases during operation and needing no additional energy cost due to operating distance. Despite these advantages, there are still many issues that need to be resolved in order to commercialize SMR-powered ships using SMR. This study examines the issues and challenges related to the commercialization of SMR-powered ships and proposes response measures. In addition, it examines issues and possibilities in terms of economic feasibility. | - |
