dc.description.abstractThis study presents the design results of a 15MW class floating offshore wind turbine platform developed by Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO). KRISO has designed both a semi-submersible and a tension-leg platform for the Ulsan offshore area. A series of model tests were conducted for each platform. Based on the performance evaluation results, the characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages of the semi-submersible and tension-leg platforms were analyzed. Through this study, the design outcomes and performance of the indigenous model are disclosed, aiming to contribute to the development of floating offshore wind systems in Korea.-
