Achieving the 1.5°C target requires pragmatic solutions to complement ambitious pledges. I highlight practical barriers to scaling renewable energy, the substantial energy demands and infrastructure constraints of DAC technologies, and geopolitical risks arising from concentrated supply chains. Industrial carbon capture and utilization (CCU)―particularly blue methanol production aligned with IMO regulations―offers an immediate and measurable pathway to reduce net carbon emissions. Bridging policy, technological feasibility, and market viability through such strategies is essential for maintaining global climate mitigation momentum.-
