| dc.description.abstract | This paper presents a maritime visualization framework designed for Cyber-Physical Ocean System (CPOS) applications in ocean environments. With growing interest in virtual reality (VR) technologies that replicate real-world settings, such methods have proven particularly valuable in underwater domains where direct human access is limited. CPOS is an advanced integration of cyber-physical systems (CPS) and intelligent operational technologies. While CPS integrates computation, networking, and physical processes through closed-loop control, CPOS extends this with decision-support functions tailored for complex maritime operations. In this study, a virtual underwater environment was constructed by measuring and modeling the seafloor terrain using ocean sensing technologies. The generated environment was visualized through a virtual reality platform to support human operators in understanding and performing underwater tasks. To evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed framework, a dedicated test-bed was developed for system testing, verification, and performance analysis. The results confirm the feasibility of the CPOS approach for enhancing remote operation and situational awareness in challenging marine environments. | - |
