dc.description.abstractBased on the previous investigations of oscillating buoy wave energy converter, the present paper proposed a new wave energy converter combined with the oil production platform. The wave forces on the buoy and movement responses were calculated using the hydrodynamics software AQWA under various wave conditions. The time history results are applied for oscillating analysis of the buoy, which is also compared with the previous results of the buoy without any combinations. This preliminary study has verified the feasibilities of the wave energy converter combined with the oil platform, which will also provide some data service to future investigations.ated using the hydrodynamics software AQWA under various wave conditions.
