Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean engineering (hereinafter KRISO, President Booki Kim) announced on the 21st that it has received the Korea Management Registrar’s (KRM) Best of Fair Recruitment certification for the second consecutive year.

□ The KMR Best of Fair Recruitment certification is awarded to institutions that practice fair recruitment based on job capabilities, eliminating biases from the process.

□ KRISO received high scores in 9 evaluation items (59 sub-items) in the 3 fields of △recruitment system (regulations, system management) △recruitment operations (notice, application screening, written test, interview, candidate selection) and △recruitment outcome (satisfaction level of newly recruited employees, retention rate) in its recruitment of regular employees in 2021.

□ The certification was awarded in recognition of KRISO’s efforts to reflect and practice government policy in internal regulations according to the nature of the institution, based on a strong will to practice fair recruitment in the president and managing executives, as well as a good understanding of fair recruitment in the department in charge of recruitment.

□ KRISO’s overall activities for fair recruitment were deemed excellent with well aligned internal regulations on recruitment and management of the recruitment system.

□ KRISO President Booki Kim promised, “KRISO will not rest on its achievement of receiving the Best of Fair Recruitment certification for the second consecutive year, continuing to monitor its system and institutions to attain a higher standard of fair recruitment practices as a trusted government-funded research institute.”
