dc.description.abstractA goal of this study is to obtain an optimal mixing ratio of artificial nodules for pre-pilot mining test. In mining performance tests, artificial nodules are used as substitute for real manganese nodules. Artificial nodules are combined material composed of cement, sand, zeolite and water. Properties of Artificial nodules (i.e., compressed strength and specific gravity) should be similar to properties of manganese nodules. Various mixing tests are carried out to obtain optimum mixing ratio satisfying requirements for artificial nodules. As a result, optimal manufacturing method for mass production of artificial nodules is obtained through mixing tests.d material composed of cement, sand, zeolite and water.
